Moodboard 1- Northern Soul

For this moodboard I thought it was important to show what the Northern Soul scenes used to be like as well as how it is seen today and how it still inspires stylists 40+ years later. It's clear which are the most recent images (Gucci's 2017 Pre-Fall Campaign). 

Northern Soul was very much about individuality and having fun as well as being a part of a new 'trend' club. People (mainly girls) changed what they wore and made themselves more detectable so everyone knew they were part of the Northern Soul nightlife. I chose the 'Keep the Faith' badge with the Union Jack flag because to show where Northern Soul originates from.
