Gucci's Pre-Fall 2017 Campaign





A 60's-ERA NORTHERN SOUL 
DANCE PARTY.





Alessandro Michele, creative director and stylist of the campaign, featured only models of colour. The campaign was titled 'Soul Scene' an all-black cast of models, Bakay Diaby, Nicole Atieno, Keiron Berton Caynes, Elibeidy and over 20 dancers.
The campaign was actually inspired by the "Made You Look" exhibit which focused on black masculinity and dandyism. One particular artist featured was Malick SidibĂ©, who's portrait work was inspired by the nightlife and youth culture of his hometown in West Africa. 





Gucci's creative director highlighted England's 60's-era underground music movement 'Northern Soul' for the campaign, the models can be seen partying, dancing and posing in the campaign photoshoot which took place in Mildmay Club in London.
